Hi everyone! Pete and I are currently in sunny Tampa visiting his parents for a long weekend. We’ll actually be heading back to NJ later on today. Later on in the week I’ll post recaps from our mini vacay- but for now, a quick breakfast recipe that my mother-in-law taught me our first morning here!
Just a heads up…when we say 3 ingredients, technically we mean 5. The 3 is for the mixture that the bread gets dipped into.
Cast of Characters
- Sourdough Bread
- 1/4 cup milk
- 4 eggs
To begin, heat up a skillet and smear some butter to coat the entire surface. Meanwhile, start combining your ingredients.
Crack the four eggs into a bowl.
Pour in the 1/4 cup of milk and a few dashes of cinnamon. Stir to combine.
Dip the bread in the batter and coat both sides.
Place the coated bread on the skillet. Flip once the bottom side is browned.
Enjoy your warm French toast alongside some syrup, with powdered sugar, or simply with some sliced berries on top!
Recipe makes 5 slices of toast.
